Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Psalm 82:3

What if there are children who will suffer somehow because I failed to obey God?
What if my cowardice costs even one child somewhere in the world his or her life?

On Her Way

Angie left this morning and had a rough time getting 4 bags and a backpack into the airport. United Airlines doesn't offer curb-side check-in. Once in D.C. she was able to figure out the baggage train. That is 190 pounds of luggage there. Angie leaves for Ethiopia in the morning.

Meanwhile, the kids and Dad survived their first night without Mom. Dad cooked Subway sandwiches. Isn't that what bachelors do? The family went to the Shadow Mountain Church softball game where Dad went 1 for 3 and caught 2 flyballs in the outfield. We won 11-12. All of the kids played soccer in between the fields during the game. Yes, I kept one on them at all times (well mostly). Thanks to Terry for keeping another eye on them.

Now, kids are all tucked into bed. We have a busy day tomorrow. We pray that Mom makes it safely to Ethiopia tomorrow. She arrives on Mother's Day (local time), Saturday night (MDT).
