Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Psalm 82:3

What if there are children who will suffer somehow because I failed to obey God?
What if my cowardice costs even one child somewhere in the world his or her life?

Planes, Shuttles...& Tornados???

Here is our luggage - the donations, anyway.

And you SMC'ers who brought stuff, above would be the "before" and "after" of what showed up and how we got it packed.  We were up 'til 12:30 this morning (yep, getting a head start on jet-lag I suppose), but it all arrived safely...so far!  In all, we checked 8 bags and had 4 carry-ons.  The 8 checked bags were all donations and the 4 carry-ons were just our personal stuff.  Thanks for all the awesome donations!

Landed on time and got to the hotel without any problems.  As you can see, a couple of our traveling buddies were needing to do some goofing off.  I won't go into details about dinner, but more than one of us seemed a bit...oh...tired?

When we arrived and turned on the news, however, we found out DC was under a Tornado Warning and that a tornado had touched down while we were in the air.  So....for all of you who told us to have "uneventful travels", I guess we're not listening to you - yet!  We are trying, though, believe me!

If flights are on-time and the airport is back to normal tomorrow, then this means Habtamu is about 24 hours away from joining 4/6 of his family (yea, yea, I could reduce that to 2/3 but it's not as personal).

For the 2/6 who are being spoiled right now by friends, hope you had a wonderful Friday!  We miss you!!!  Pretty sure your day was more fun than ours, though!
